Hypnosis
The greatest discovery of my generation is that Human Beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind. – William James
Hypnosis is one of the easiest and most effective processes for altering the attitudes of minds. – Marcia Speier
The word hypnosis stems from Hypnos, the Greek word for sleep. However, people experiencing hypnosis are not actually sleeping. They may appear to others to be asleep, but they can think, talk, open their eyes, respond to suggestion, and move in any way. Hypnosis quiets the body and opens the mind. People experiencing hypnosis are usually aware of their surroundings and can hear other sounds besides the voice of the hypnotherapist.
Approved by the American Medical Association in 1958, hypnosis is a tool for modern living. It is 100% natural – it is the same state you are in each night as you fall into sleep, and as you are coming out of sleep in the morning. While in the state of hypnosis, your subconscious mind is so open and receptive to all the positive thoughts and suggestions given.
